anyone that drives drunk should be executed
kill them
hang them from a lamp post or drown their useless asses
drunk drivers get away with serious crimes even if they do time for it because they get away with the 1000+++++++++++++ counts of intended or premeditated homicide that they have made the decision to commit
they make a choice to attempt to kill as many people as possible when they choose to drink and then drive
there is no fucking rationalization or excuse for it
they intend to kill
they intend to harm
they intend to endanger
they are a menace to the society at large and need to be removed from the decency and safety of that society
they are deservant of death

 

I was always told: Get yourself into it, get yourself out of it.

Wasn't always nice but I did learn to be responsible for myself.

 

I think shooter is lucky - 85 posts and just two smartasses came by to make their quips and only one pervert offered to party with his daughter. I'd say either this place is going way downhill or way uphill . . . not sure which.

An Update

So, daughter went to the arraignment.
According to her, the felony was dropped. It's now a disturbing the peace.
The extreme DUI was dropped. It's now a DUI
She's thinking she'll plead it out and pay a fine. So far, no indication the authorities have found her prior DUI arrests.

She said not bad; a DUI every 10 years or so.

I said so far it's cost you over $10K; plus what you'll pay in fines and other shit.

She said and?...........

I told her we probably should stop talking to each other now, cause I was about to unload my "mad Dad" on her.

That was 3 days ago.

I'm still pissed. And scared.

 

Shooter, around here after 7 years a DUI is not considered a previous DUI. It is still on the record but the next one is called a first offence again.

 

The point isn't the legal issue. The point is, she still can't admit just how serious driving and drinking is. I'm scared I'm going to get "the call" and that will be that.

 

I was the same way until they explained it to me in a way I could understand.
They simply told me the next one and I was going to prison. It got my attention.
I haven't driven while drinking since then. I don't like crowded confines spaces.
Sounds like she was let out on bail a little too quick. It would have been better to let her set there for a week or so.
Gives a person time to think.

 

I'd be even more concerned about "the call" some innocent family might get.
