In general I like Micky D's fries if they are done enough.. sometimes you get home and have a bag of soggy limp taters that are real bad.. so I will always check at the window to make sure...

BK has upped thier game some. Always hot.. they don't seem annoyed when u say you want lite salt... Gotta have salt.. They tend to over salt.

Wendy's.... Not a fan...

The best are Arby's... Curly cut .. luv those things... Willing to fork out a couple extra $$$ just get those with my jumbo beef n cheddar combo..

I liked Del Taco's as well when I was living in Kalifornistan.. Those were good...

I read that we are getting a few Del Taco's around here as well... Might be a long drive, but I prefer them over Taco Bell..

 

I agree on Arby's fries, but we don't have one near us anymore, so I will go with McDonald's. They are thin cut so the potato inside to crispy outside ratio is good.

 

Ill say checkers for seasoned and bowling alley for regular.

 

Arbys is nice but theres too many small overcooked pieces instead of alot of spirals that are perfect. My only issue with arbys is that

I'll say McDonald's for regular fries, and Culver's as a runner up because they have crinkle cut fries.

I like Wendy's natural cut fries.

Once I was ordering at a restaurant and accidentally asked if their fries were regular or crinkle cunt. Oopsies!

MickeyD is pretty good but you have to eat them while you're driving. when they cool off, not so great!

 

I like Red Robin's fries and Burger King's.

 

Chip trucks.

 

I'm not much of a "regular" fry fan, but the Arby's curly fries are seasoned or something. They're pretty good.

Also, I like the cajun fries at 5 guys, and local Portuguese food truck that serves some out of this world truffle parmesan fries.

McCains makes the best commercial French fries. They also make the most.
There are a lot of different ways they can be fucked up. The best are home cut, no contest.

 

McDonald's are the best.
In-N-Out are the worst.

Wendy's are 2nd best

Carl's (Hardee's), Burger King and Jack-in-the-Box are okay.

Can't say about Arby's - haven't been to one since the 90s at least.

 

McDonalds fries are partially cooked, flash frozen and then quickly finished at your local.

 

There used to be a place in the mall here called Boardwalk Fries. They were excellent.

 

Two of my favorites are McDonald's and Arby's.

Now my all time favorite is a little hole in the wall place just inside of Quebec. It's been there for probably 60 years and the name of it has changed a few times, but everyone still refers to it by the original name. If you roll up to Canadian Customs and tell them you're going to the hot dog place, they just wave ya on through.

People drive from all over the place for hot dogs and poutine (for those of you that don't know, that's French fries with gravy and cheese curds). They grab a potato, throw it in some ancient potato slicer thingy that Napolean probably used, push down on the lever, grab the uncooked slices and toss them in the oil that probably hasn't been changed since 1981. If you aren't feeling like poutine, the regular fries with a splash of vinegar and some salt are fantastic. Nom nom nom.


Now I feel the need to take a roadtrip!

 

I say all deep-fried food should be banned because of health and environmental reasons because of the oil used. Fast food places in general should be shutdown.
